Welcome Kristina! I lived in Michigan, in a town called Brighton, from about age 4-8yrs and going to the cider mill and having doughnuts is a really happy memory for me.

Elaina just cut her first molar too - her seventh tooth.

Anne, looking great!

la mamita - good luck with the daycare, and with school!

Thinking pg thoughts for you Meli - sorry the trip was a little off!

Kristina - Welcome!

la Mamita - Good Luck with daycare! Let me know how Luis takes to it.

Fuzzy Peach - how big is the molar? Kat is teething a molar too, and the bump feels HUGE! It's taking forever to break through the gums.

Melissa - any news?

Back to work tomorrow...argh!

there are quite a few either from or currently living in MI. dh and i both moved from GR to IL for school and since the economy has crashed and GM has layed off so many people it's been impossible for him to find a job up there for us to move back. all our family lives in GR though and we go "home" twice a year.

Welcome Kristina! Claire was born on June 11, too. She has 6 teeth, loves watermelon, and will take some steps if she doesn't think you are watching. She learned the word "turtle" today. We were at the zoo watching these huge tortises (mate and grunt, wow were they loud!). Her little hand fit right through the fence and she was patting the head of one of the smaller (and non-mating) tortises. She was quick to get in there! You just blink and she gets into things! After that, all I heard was "turtle, turtle, turtle!) She loved it.

Must give the other two baths. I hope I have every thing ready for us to go back to school and work tomorrow.

Oh yeah, I know alot of people effected by GM and Ford. I used to work on behalf of GM and Delphi. Thanks to NAFTA I had job security, and thanks to NAFTA that's why GM and Delphi are laying off...to outsource. I could go on and on, but that's a different subject on a different board! lol

Thanks for the welcome Michelle! Ashlyn doesn't say too many words, but the walking is down pat. Can we switch?

Just a quick hi! Spent Labor Day weekend with my MIL in Atl. It was ok but there are things she still can't grasp--like that we really shouldn't go out to eat bc the baby and restaurants don't mix right now. And she bought him fruit roll ups as a snack!: He didn't eat one, but he did get yogurt with sweetener and skim milk. Grrr. (I wasn;t in the room.) He also got a cold and was up most of Sat and Sun nights-the homeopathic stuff just wasn't clearing his nose out enough for him to sleep.

I'm hoping he's better by Fri--that's supposed to be his 1st day of mother's morning out...

Slow here today!

Anne, I hope you feel better. You are totally making me crave donuts!!

Little to report. Danny was so happy on vacation -- every place we stayed had older kids and he was just entranced and never bored. Now we're back and he seems bored stiff and just plain crabby. Sigh.

Hi everybody! I didn't realize a new thread was started till just now Subbing.

Joey's got something going on. She was running a fever over the weekend and has been plain old crabby for about a week now. She was doing that screaming thing, too. I really think she's going to errupt with a ton of teeth soon. She's got ALL her teeth on top, but only two on the bottom. I'm afraid that she's going to get all the rest of the bottom teeth all at once and that might have something to do with the fever and the screaming.

She's been taking a super nap in the afternoons though

Anyway, just doing my usual flyby check in while I'm working away the morning.

Welcome Kristina!

Ugh, Sha, that sounds rough...poor Joey. Did she get all her top teeth in one swoop like that?
Cully still only has 5 teeth. I tease Alex that it's the West Virgianian in him.

No, Emmy, the top teeth were spaced out pretty well. It was NEVER this bad, though. Not even when she was cutting her molars. We're going to have to get stock in Hyland's to make it through this : THat's what's making me think there are a lot working their way up at once.

No bumps or white spots or anything yet, but I really can't imagine anything else that would have her acting like this. Poor baby.

Hey, is anyone here a vegetarian? I'm really leaning towards giving it a good try (as opposed to the half hearted attempt I make once or twice a year for the past ten years or so ) I need some ideas on protein and iron subs, though. A good friend is a veg and she was visiting this weekend, so I had a chance to pick her brain and got a lot of good ideas. Just looking for some more.
