Okay, so normally I really dislike Colorado. Days like today though - it redeems itself. It's September first and we have all the windows closed and a fire burning in the fireplace. How cool is that? It's SUMMER for crying out loud!!!

That is so cool! We are expecting a "cold front" here in TX this weekend (according to the local news). The high temps are actually going to drop almost 15 degrees - from 104 to 90!

I am hoping the change in pressure with the front will trigger labor!!

Ugh, all summer long I've been saying "oh we're not moving until September...". Well here we are in September and um, I'm not ready!! Emotionally not ready, not packed in the slightest, can't imagine moving with a newborn. Yikes. I better get on all that, eh?

That said, I love the cold front we're having here too...even though it's rainy right now, trapping us in the house :

ColoradoMama, that sounds lovely! Fall is my favorite time of year, and all this past week it has felt like fall here in New England. Unfortunately that means some rain, but the cool weather is nice. I just have to get some fall clothes for DD!

I have to get out the fall baby clothes today. I'm glad I had already pulled out a few sweaters. Nate is wearing a cute white button down today over a t-shirt and pants.

Poor Ryan, he just peed in his pants (he NEVER does this), and it's MY fault, because he wanted to close the bathroom door (he's decided on some privacy recently) and there were too many dirty diapers piled on the bathroom floor and he couldn't get the door closed and he was jumping up and down and screaming frantically for help and I was busy with Nate and my husband was busy with A.J. and he just couldn't hold it. Poor guy! So now he's in all new clothes, including the first long pants of the season.

I so agree with you ladies! Fall is definitely my favorite time of year. We have been having a beautiful weather pattern here in West Michigan-it's about 70 today, partly cloudy, no humidity, just gorgeous! The produce at the farmers market has started to 'turn' to fall things: some apples already and some beautiful bosc pears, and some nice fall boquets too. DH and DS1 went down to watch the Michigan game with some friends (yay for college football!) and I am home with Spencer, happily catching up on emails and magazines. Spencer is snuggled in his bassinet, by the open window with a beautiful breeze coming in. He mutters to himself in his sleep-it's so cute. I should be cleaning the house and writing thank-you notes... Nah! I'll continue to do nothing and love every minute of it.

I love our weather too Radiogirl. I wish it was always like this. We were in GR Thursday to go to John Ball Zoo. It was a perfect day to be outside for Ian's 1st big trip.

Ugh - so, I'm back from the dentist. I have to go back next Tuesday, so she can finish, but I'm half done. At least they managed to get me numb this time. It was SO hard to leave Louis this morning. I mean it was only for an hour, and he was with dh, but still... If I hadn't had the fear of pain... Oh well - Louis did fine. My parents are going to be here on the 16th!!! I'm so excited. They have been having a rough time and weren't able to come out for the birth. We weren't sure they'd be able to come out at all, so I am really happy. They'll be here for dd1's birthday and party, so she is really excited.
