my HSG was after my first 2 mc's, and numerous IUI's, but before I had experienced child birth. It was very painful for me, I was not well educated about what to expect, and had not taken any pain meds. The tech doing the HSG was a very brusk man. I lay very still silently crying and he kept shouting at me that I was crying for nothing, and that it did not hurt.

: Results were not imediately available, it turns out I had a bit of "cobwebs" so that was probably the pain. (I had an explorative laproscopy the next month)If I had known how I would feel I would have had my hubby drive me to the appt. I was not up to the 1 hr. drive home, so I spent the rest of the day on the beach. I felt like I had been hit by a truck.
So if I had it to do again :
Pain meds, a driver, and a big maxi
