Do you think home schooling children is the best way for them to be educated? Do you believe the home environment allows children to learn at a pace that they’re most comfortable with? Do you think it’s important for children to decide what subjects they're interested in so they can concentrate on what most stimulates their mind? Or do you home school your child to protect them from being teased, taunted, or bullied. If you want to tell to Dr. Phil why you have a strong opinion on home schooling, please tell us your story!!!
I would LOVE to see some MDC HSing mamas on there. Most of us don't fit the typical HS mold.

Well, I emailed them so we'll see....not sure I'd be up to being on the show anyway. What if they make homeschooling look bad?

I personally wouldn't trust Dr. Phil to put a positive spin on things. I bet he will end up not letting the people really state their case and he will just spout off as usual. The same thing he did with the extended bfing show.

I have to agree here. I was homeschooled as a child and was far better educated as a result than if I would have gone to public school. However, I also had social problems as well, but it wasn't a result of homeschooling, I always had them, but people who don't like homeschooling blame it on the fact that I was was homeschooled. I could see Dr. Phil put a negative spin on it. He does seem to be pretty mainstream that way, although he preaches not to be, his own opinion always comes out strong and clear on his shows.

I tend to like Dr Phil but I am still trepiditious of responding to this. I did respond about the breastfeeding show, but I don't want to put my child and her daily life on the show.

I remember an episode a long while back where Dr. Phil actually spoke really highly of homeschooling!
