A Babyshower Breatfeeding Gift

I went to a babyshower yesterday and after lots of thought and lots of ideas from others... I got a breastfeeding gift basket together for this young girl (well she is around 23 so not too young - but younger than me). It was such a hit her sisters and friends said they want to make sure Kathie comes to their baby showers whenever they get pregnant. I put in a little bit of everything. I had breastpads - two different types, bottles of water, gentian violet, a nursing shirt, a belly band for under regular shirts, lansinoh, baby lotion, baby outfit, diaper cream, breastfeeding book and handouts, a piece of paper with breastfeeding tips, Phone numbers for myself, the local LLL, and WIC breastfeeding group. A paper with breastfeeding info sites and Bulliten boards (this one included), breastfeeding clothes websites and my pediatrucians website on tips and meds and stuff. There were samples of all kinds of baby products and lotions. And I cant remember what else. It helped with me breastfeeding that I had a lot of things laying around that I could pack a few things up for her to get an idea of and what she would like. (books, breastpads and such).I think it was a huge hit. We will see. She was really pysched up about nursing. It was great.

That sounds like an awesome gift! I wish I had known someone who would have given me sometihgn like that when I was pregnant.

I love that you offered your own number, because that's probably the most valuable thing you included!

THank you all- It was also an easy cheap gift because a lot of things were trial sizes from items I had bought. I even printed the links and numbers out on one of those business cards sheets so she could pop them out and put them in her wallet.

That is a terrific gift!

I received a scaled down version at my own babyshower and it was the most useful and enduring gift.
