Man, would I stick that on Andrew in a heartbeat except.....the baby I keep every day is FF and her parents are our neighbors (and that income is what allows me to stay home with Andrew). I guess I should overcome my temptation and keep the peace, darn .

I like the one that says, "I see Mommy's boobies more in one day than Daddy does in a year." I need to get that one.

oooh, that's cute!

I love it! I would have DS wear it when we visit my SIL (she FF her two) but DH would be mad!

This is one of those sayings/tshirts/bumperstickers I'll laugh at and appreciate, but wouldn't actually use.

i don't know, i guess i just don't give a damn what anyone else thinks. my best friend bf'd because she had zero support from her alcoholic mom and her crappy MIL/FIL. (and of course, "How would you know? You haven't done it" - i was newly PG with DS when her DD was born), but she knows breast is best. and honestly, she knows I'm a little "wacky" so it wouldn't bother her. anyone else, doesn't really matter to me. I guess I just hate kissing mainstream butt because I know better than to go with the flow.

Oh, don't get me wrong, it's a cool shirt! Definitely get it, 'cause you like it.

I wouldn't be comfortable using it, but that's just me. (I also don't put political bumperstickers on my car, but I appreciate it when other people do - I'm such a bumpersticker whore, I'll slow down in traffic just to read other people's stickers. )

Oh, I totally got what you were saying Arwyn, just explaining how Kiss My @$$ I am about that stuff! I also love the one that says "Mother Sucker". My mom won't buy it for him she doesn't think it's very nice....lol

I really wanted either the Mother Sucker or the Nice Legs, But I'm a Boob Man Myself, but what with DH being a pastor and all, there's this certain expectation of decorum. Frankly, it sucks sometimes.

LOL! Yeah, it sucks having to be a good example!

Now, Mother Sucker I would so use.

But I'm pun-y and off-color like that.

Honestly, I find the toxic food one to be tasteless and insensitive. : It's not raising awareness of breastfeeding, it's being judgemental, confrontational and deliberately offensive to people who honestly *had* to formula feed.

I do like the others mentioned here.

I agree with Jamie. I think its kinda mean.
I do have to agree with those who think it's a bit mean. I mean, some people HAVE to use formula. Some really great moms have no other choice. I'm all for promoting bfing, but I don't think it's right to judge others or be mean. (It's hard for me not to judge, but I'm trying. I want to set a good example for my dd)

I like some of the other shirts mentioned though...
I don't like this particular slogan either. Formula isn't "poison" or "junk food" it's a pale imitation of mother's milk. It's "adequate" for infant growth when breastmilk isnt' available (or needs to be supplemented.)

There's also the question of whether breastmilk is "toxic" if the mother is taking certain meds, for example- in that case, go ahead and feed the "toxic food" it's still better than formula!

Okay, it's definitely NOT p.c. or a good way to make converts to BF, but it IS funny! I wouldn't wear it myself, but I'd smile and laugh if I saw someone else wear it, and shake my head in the affirmative if they looked my way.

Please keep in mind that trashing formula is not advocacy. People who have chosen to FF do not often respond to criticism in a positive way.

Please look for more positive ways to promote breastfeeding.
