Just heard that Steve Irwin died today. You may remember him as the Australian Crocodile Hunter.

Steve was married to Terri, two children Bindi Sue (8) and Bob (3).

So sad. Not entirely unexpected in his line of work, but still sad. My thoughts are with his family.

I heard it this morning when I first work up. Isn't his wife American? I had turned on the Today Show and they aired the interview he did with Matt when he had baby Bob in his arms feeding the alligator. His little girl is a sweetheard and clearly loved her daddy. My heart and prayers go out to his family.

So, so sad to hear this today...
I loved that show when it first came out. Dh and I (when we were 17 and 19, first dating) would sit in his apartment watching Croc hunter marathons, eating Cocoa Puffs, for hours. Good memories..

Lighting a for his wife and little ones today. He was a great activist for wildlife and truly loved animals. I think he will be missed the world over.

I can't believe he's dead! What a tragic, freak accident. My thoughts are with his family. He seemed like such a great, fun loving guy who just got a kick out of animals and loved his family so much.

My FIL called tonight and told us the new about Steve. I just really can't believe it! I mean, I can't get my head around the fact that he's gone. I'm so, so sad for his family. He and Terri had such a neat story and seemed to really love each other. It's not many families that get to spend so much time together since they worked together.

I guess it makes you realize how fragile life really is...
