I was watching the episode "The Apartment" with dh, and they mentioned nursing on the show. The episode is after Amy and Robert have broken up, and Robert is in his own apartment (Frank wants to turn Robert's room into a lounge.) Ray goes over to Robert's apartment a lot because of all the good looking single girls (just to look.) Debra makes a comment that he's been over there 3 times that week, maybe he should stop going (after Ray says he's tired of going.) Ray says, "Well, remember when you got tired of nursing, but you kept doing it because the children needed you." I know it's not the best comment, but at least it talked about sticking it out, and Ray didn't mention age (babies instead of children) or a time limit (until a certain age) so I think it was pretty good.

Actually Debra refers to her breasts as 'working girls' in another episode, as she was making a reference to the fact that they are not so 'perky' anymore post BFing,
...she was also trying to see what Raymond really thought about breast lift surgery (by tricking him) as she was considering having a lift/aug, to make them perky again....she had stuffed socks under her boobs to make them look 'perky' and big..then told him she'd had a 'proceedure' done and that she was 'sore' so he couldn't touch, but could look. It was pretty funny, actually.
I haven't seen too many of episodes of the show, but that is one I did see.

I read in an interview that she BF'ed all her kids IRL, said something to the effect of "After so many pregnancies and so many years of breastfeeding nothing is where it used to be." talking about her having plastic surgery.

My friend is related to the man who renovated her house, so he got to know her and her family (and their lifestyle) well. I'll have to ask her about this.

In another episode, Ray asks Debra when or if she quite breastfeeding the twin boys, and she answer "Yeah, 6 months ago." Well, the twins were over 2 years old in that episode (they mentioned their age in that show), which would lead you to believe that she nursed them both till at least 18months.
Not bad, IMO, for a sitcom mom of twins...
LOL at the things I remember in vivid detail from TV
and LOL that this is my first post on MDC and I choose this topic

All the comments on breastfeeding on the show are always done positively and in good taste. There have been many.
Its on here at 6:30 pm and 10:30 pm every day. I watch it at least once a day. its hilarious
