Just FYI, Alfie Kohn is on Diane Rehm right now talking about education and his new book "The Homework Myth.'' If you miss it, you can find it in her archives about an hour after the show. Its really a facinating subject to me even though DD is only 10 months old .

Oh, I love Alfie Kohn. It sounds crazy when I explain his ideas to people, but they really do make sense -- and he has research to support his ideas, too!

He made perfect sense to me too. He pretty much summed up exactly how I feel about the subject of homework. Its funny he was on this show today because I was just talking to my BIL, who is a high school English teacher, yesterday about this issue. Anyway, I have been debating about getting a different Alfie Kohn book, Unconditional Parenting, more relevant to my DD's age, and this show sealed the deal.
