Positive VBAV Birth Day episode

Wow. I'm watching a positive VBAC episode of Birth Day. They were advocating VBACs, how much safer they are, etc. Even a Dr who was letting his patient attempt a VBA2C! Don't know how it is going to end yet but regardless they were being POSITIVE on TV about a VBAC!

WOW! I am shocked that they would ever have a DR doing that on TV, and actually advocating it! Just....WOW!

The one VBAC had a vag in the end (no drugs I think). The VBA2C lady did end up with a section. She was 41 1/2 wks when she went in and they tried cervadil etc and nothing got them anywhere. They were dissapointed but the woman was SOOO happy that the dr even let her try for a vba2c that it took some of the cuss of it for her.

Overall I think it was really good.

I can't help but notice the big ACOG statement about c/sections and the timing of these episodes. I wager there is a big coincidence.

Wow, that is cool! Why couldn't THAT one be on during my OB appt last week? Instead it was one where a first time mom came in at already 8-9cm and was doing really well without drugs and they were surprised she was that far along, yadda yadda, but then she stalled and was having more trouble handling things, and the doctor was wanting to give her something to speed up labor... all the while, her bed was FLAT and she was flat on her back. Not even propped up! No wonder her labor stalled! I don't know how it turned out, as the nurse called me back at that point, but when they took my bp, it was 132/87! Usually it's around 116/72 or something along those lines. So I seriously think that show affected my bp. I'll find out tomorrow when I go to my midwife and get a non-BabyStory bp reading.
