After the c section birth of my son, I bled heavily for 3 weeks. Is this normal?

Define "heavily." Bleeding for three weeks is very normal. If it was extremely heavy for the entire three weeks, that may not have been typical.

I second this. I've had bleeding roughly equal to a period for at least two weeks after each section...almost four weeks after my last one. The total bleeding, including the very light stuff, has lasted at least 6-7 weeks each time...closer to 9 with...think it was dd.
