Hi!

Years on MDC and I've never seen this forum!!!

I am missing my art!!! I studied painting in Argentina for many years, then got my degree in Printmaking, (Intaglio)...taught some...then went back to painting!

So here is my website...it doesn't have everything, but a good amount and varied...I also sculpt!

www.amaliafisch.com

Maybe we start an online artist support group or just an artist group where we pick a theme and then have a month to create something in whatever medium we want, take a pic, post it and have a discussion about it...Anybody game?

May FLOW be with you!!!

I want to be brave and share too

These are some things I did for my brother as a Christmas gift.
I don't know what you'd call it- collage, maybe? If someone knows, please tell me. It's a million little magazine clippings glued into a picture

Here's "LL Bean Christmas 2007 Catalog"

Thanks, every9one, for sharing! I am in the process of dismantling my studio because we are moving out into the country... lots of inspiration and peacefulness to be found there, but I know it will be a while until I can have time to do much art. Thank goodness for photography, as it can be such a quick fix for an outlet!
I am so inspired by all of your sharing of what is so personal. It is so wonderful to have a supportive community to express our creativity and have it be acknowledged and appreciated. Hooray for all of you creative women! It is so important to nurture these parts of ourselves in the midst of parenting and the other things/people with whom we pour out our energy. Great energy to all of you, and keep up the awesome work! I eventually would like to share mine, too! Have a great one! Michelle

I have truly enjoyed viewing all your works!
I am just getting back into opening up that side of the brain that has been screaming at me. I decided to go back to school at 44 and finish a formal education in Art part time. Painting in acrylic and oils recently and in a Print Level III class, ceramics II and 2-D lined up next in spring.

Amaturish and from the 12 years ago, here are a couple things:

"Time Tells" screenprint from a level I print class
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...a/IM000316.jpg

"Afternoon at the Cape" relief blockprint -level I print class
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...a/IM000313.jpg

"Family Roses" Intaglio Print - level II print class
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...a/IM000309.jpg

"Freesia" Intaglio Print from level II print class

"Bleeding Heart" acrylic

Fiber has been my release for the last 8 years and a small wahm business. Not necessarily fine art but has been "the" release of expression and creativity.
