Community Intactivism Idea

I had considered this a while back, and an email that I got today jogged my memory of it.

Have any of you folks involved with intactivist organizations ever tried running a free public lecture? I see in my local paper in the little "Things To Do" section there are often free public lectures on medical topics, parenting groups, etc. Many of these are run by hospitals, but some are run by nonprofits with specific goals to help the community, like the cancer society or diabetes org or whatnot, or the positive parenting group.

So, for anyone who has tried this, how did it go? Did you get hecklers or harassers? : That's my big concern if I were to do this, for this area, anyway. Did you get many interested, open-minded parents? What did you title your lecture? I'm wondering what would be a catchy, non-offensive title. Obviously, I'm looking for the gentlest meet-people-where-they-are approach.

I'm nowhere near ready to set this up or anything, just fishing for ideas and brainstorming, and hoping it helps someone else out, too.

I haven't done this, but I am planning to offer a free "Circumcision Decision" class along with my regular series, that couples can drop in on.
