9 month well baby check up. Baby measures tall and skinny 90%ile and 15th ... baby also has a little blood draw for iron check. Comes back in the midrange- good. Dr does not say anything alarmist about weight or supplementing just calls him "Tall and thin" and then asks me when we'll introduce dairy and I say, "Not till after a year" he adds, "If at that point you do wind up adding more cow dairy into his diet, be sure that there is an additional iorn source because the dairy is not such a good source of iron like your breastmilk is right now."

Yay for tha dr! I love it when my ped reminds me that in spite of my IL's opinions, being "tall & skinny" right now is a bonus. Dr is a diabetic, so he's very appreciative of the childhood obesity rates, etc. My IL's on the other hand, think chunky=healthy. :

Annoying update: my "well baby" now has a cold. Aaaargh- why do we do it to ourselves?
