Has he been in pain most of his life? (Xpost in TCY)

My DS has big teeth. His front teeth are big and most people take notice even if it is just to say...Wow look at that smile. I don't think they always know it is that he has big teeth but they are not used to seeing a very toothy smile on a baby. anyway does anyone know if big teeth are more painful to cut?

My DS has always been "attached" Clingy" whatever you want to call it. He will play on the floor for a bit but mostly I can categorize him as "fussy" He is hard to put down and at the age of 14 mos has had more tantrums than my DD has her whole life. Sometimes I call him passionate. I find him exhausting but I love him and he can be sweet but mostly only on the most attached terms.

Ok...well yesterday he came down with Coxsackie and had a fever. I have heard the blisters are very painful so I gave him some Motrin to help with the pain. The motrin brought downt eh fever and my DS changed.

He was crawling and playing and laughign on the floor for over an over. He was giggling and playing hide and seek behind the walls. He was tearing things apart and all in all having a great time.

Could it be he was pain for all these months cutting those big teeth? He got teeth early and has been "fussy " forever it seems.

I am considering buying a bulk size of baby mottrrin

I think my ds was teething from 4 months to about a year. And i do think he was pretty constantly in pain and fussy because of it. Getting a teething necklace helped. Keeping stock of teething tablets too. I wouldn't want to keep a baby regularly on a medication like motrin.

Oh no I wouldn't realy keep medicated but he sure is sooo much happier on the medicine. I'll look for some teethin tablets for when illness goes away.
