Have you seen/read "Our Bodies Ourselves"?

Take a good long look at the cover... ...do you notice anything slightly amiss?
How about the fact that the two women on the right side of the cover are obviously Photoshopped in...
Now go read the first chapter...(which is all about the "american beauty ideal" and how women have to face it everyday, and how we need to be strong and accepting/loving of ourselves)
So they say this in print, and then instead of spending the money on a photoshoot with a group of diverse women, they instead take an existing photo and photoshop in an Asian woman and an African American woman..
It kinda makes me want to :Puke

Oh, so this is the new edition? Why don't you email them and ask them if they are photoshopped in? I'm not totally convinced that they are. And they'd probably say...

I would agree that the lady on the right is photoshopped in-- but when someone wants a book cover they hire a design company, tell them basically what they want and the design company goes to a stock photography place and orders the best picture- if it's not exactly what they need, they edit it--
I bet the ones who 'Ok'ed' the front cover didn't even realize it. Happens all the time-- my husband is a graphic designer.
