How much alert time does your baby have?

Luna Blue is three weeks today and still sleeps, sleeps, sleeps most of the day. We do get a few spurts of awake, alert time (maybe 3-4 per day) but they're often very short. There's only been 3 times that she's been awake and alert longer than an hour, the rest of the time she'll give it 45 minutes or less and she wants to nurse and falls back asleep. When she is alert, she is *very* aware of everything, it just seems like it doesn't happen much.

How many alert times does your babe have per day and how old is (s)he??

Charlie is 11 days old and has 2-3 alert times during the day. She just finished one...it lasted about an hour. They're usually about an hour long...though once or twice she's gone 3 hours which scared me just a little bit! I tried to tell her that she's too young to be pulling that...here's hoping she listens!

Until 3-4 weeks Nate slept a TON.
He's 5 1/2 weeks. Now he'll usually wake by 7am, take a brief nap in the morning, a few hours 2-5 hours in the afternoon waking once to eat, awake for maybe 1-2 hours in the late afternoon/evening, short nap, then, awake by 8pm and up for another hour or so before going to sleep for the night (waking to eat 2-4 times).

Although the other day he managed to stay awake from 6:30am until just after noon. That was crazy.
