Better Broth

Thread Starter
OK, I can't afford the grass fed beef bones to make some good broth so I was wondering...

should I just buy the packaged organic beef broth they sell or should I buy the regular bones and make my own broth?

(I was thinking the organic would be better because I wouldn't get the hormones and all that stuff but I'm wondering now if the store bought is too processed.)

Does all the yucky stuff they give to cows collect in the bones (hormones etc...)? If it does won't cooking it for so long allow more and more of it to come out into my broth??

Last question I promise...
Has anyone ever bought bones online from the farm?? I saw one website of a farm in TX where they we .88 per pound and I can afford that but I wasn't sure if it was worth it with shipping and I wasn't sure how good they would be. Does anyone buy meat online?? What do you think about the price and the product??

THANKS!!!!

I have bought meat online. I thought the price was ok. It was organic grass fed beef liver that I wanted. I had to spend $75 and order a minimum lbs but then shipping was free.

I'm not sure about the organic v/s non organic bones question. I try to use organic but have made broth w/non organic chicken bones.
