Thanks Gitti LongIsland straightned me out on that.
I am easily confused...

I think I would give me dear mom the link to this forum and have her read a little or even ask a question or two, but right now i dont think we will speak for a couple days, i think we both need a cooling of period.

I 'll check back to let you know if mom agrees to visit.
Thanks

Sounds like your blow up was a good thing, long overdue. She needed to be clear about her boundaries.

My mom and I had that issue over homebirthing. I put my foot down and then some since I was still very hormonal and pregnant, but things have been fine since then.

She is too afraid to question me without being really respectful.

I hope things get better.

I agree with pp since I sent my mom books and said don't talk to me about homebirth unless you read "insert title".

I would print out the form from the State Website (that way it has the State logo on it and the state website on the printout) and show your mom and say "Ha, it is too legal, here. Make a copy and show your co-worker. I'm completely within my RIGHTS."

That's what I would do.

Either that or just tell your mom it's not for discussion anymore between you and her and if she wants to talk and gossip with her co-worker, fine. But you know what your doing is legal and she can stop yapping to you about her ignorant views.

i blew up at her, i said more like yelled "this is my daughter not yours i am doing what i beleive to best for her and then I proceeded to say you had your three children and did what you thought was best for us now butt out and do not i repeat do not ever bring this subject up to me again unless you want to risk not seeing my DD or me for that matter because i will stay away " and then I hung up on her, now i feel bad but I just cant take this harassment anymore. Any one else have to deal with this crap with their family or mom for that matter?
I didn't read this before my last post.
