Anyone else experiencing this? After weeks of not wanting to eat anything, renewed aversions, living off of one or two foods ... suddenly I'm ravenous again. I mean, like, starving. I went through a cake phase but now I want lots of really solid food. Baked potato, steak, dense casseroles, pastas, hard boiled eggs, even fondue, I just can't get enough of anything. And even though I'm "full" of baby, I can sit down to a full meal and eat the whole thing. Maybe baby has just moved low enough to give me more of my stomach back, but it sure seems wierd! I don't remember this with baby 1 & 2. Is there an icon for "eating everything in sight"???

I am starved too. Anything looks good, for the most part. I am burning through calories like crazy with no weight gain. Baby J is growing though, so I am enjoying it. Milkshakes, cookies, steak, cake and cereal cereal cereal. Not the good for you kind either, but Cinnamon Toast crunch and the like. I don't let my kids see me eat it ha ha ha ha... unsweetened whole grains pass by their lips, but me.. no control. I way overspent at the grocery store yesterday, but I figure it might be a while before I go again. I keep loosing bits of my plug and having lots of cx. I am now off on maternity leave, so I can feel more rested. Now I want to bake and I have everything ready, but just realized I am out of eggs. When dh gets home from work, I will ask him to run out and get some. Banana bread, chocolate muffins, apple pie (hey wait, that doesn't need eggs) .... gotta go now

I've been through this on and off the whole pregnancy. I do seem much more peckish during the day now. Problem is, I've developed allergies to pretty much everything but vegetables, fruit, nuts and rice so there's not much I can eat
I'm just dying to eat a dessert of some kind. I've been craving apple pie. Gosh, I hope I can eat real food again after she arrives. Maybe my body will adjust back to how it used to be

ohhhh yes, this is me too!
considering babies can put on as much as, what, an ounce a day in the last couple weeks it's not suprising for mama to be ravenous. but, yeah i've been unusually hungry the past two weeks.
just tonight i ate a pint of mint chocolate chip ice cream.

Oh, goody, I'm glad I'm not the only one chowing down. (I say as I finally polish off a leisurely brunch and start thinking about the next meal ... )

I cooked a great meal tonight - rice and stroganoff, herbed baked tofu, garlicky mustard greens, beets...plated up some for my husband and said to myself, "Hmmmm, Honey Nut Cherrios sound really good right now!"
So I had a huge bowl of cereal with peach yogurt on top!
It's ridiculous - I had two bowls of cereal last night right before bed. It's all I want! Forget the veggies; bring on the carbs!

I wonder if it is like marathon runners getting ready for a race. My dad used to run marathons and always ate lots of pasta the few days before a race. Of course, he did it deliberately, I can't seem to stop!
I've gained more weight in the past three weeks than I have the entire pg so far, so I know the calories are not burning off into the ether, either.
