EFLF coconut oil question

Thread Starter
For some reason I can't stomach coconut oil in an infusion (hot oil... blech!). And eating it alone right now makes me queasy. I've been mixing about 1/2 cup coconut cream with the coconut oil and eating it with a spoon, and it's quite yummy, and my body seems to respond more favorably when the oil is with its "cofactors" (for lack of a better word). Do you EFLF people think this is OK? I can eat coconut oil in smoothies, but it defeats the purpose of doing it 20 minutes BEFORE a meal, doesn't it? Do you think I'll still get the weight loss benefits? Coconut cream has a FEW carbs...

Some people have to ease into coconut oil. They cannot take the full amount right away and their system has to adjust to it. I don't know too much about how that would affect the weight loss aspect, but I would continue to use it mixed with other things and ease into taking it as a supplement. Also, a can of coconut milk has 4-4.5 Tbspns of oil in it, so you can try to take it that way?
