Freezing PP pads...does it work w/ cloth?

I have a quick question. I've never gone the cloth pad route before, but I'm stocked up for this next baby's birth. I am thinking of freezing some pads this time (ice felt sooo good last time for me, but I didn't freeze actual pads) with some sort of infusion (suggestions/preferences? I've heard of comfrey, witch hazel, rosemary, etc.).

I know people freeze disposable pads, but will it work with cloth? Would it hold enough liquid to make it worthwhile to freeze them?

TIA

I use rags as ice packs for muscle aches and they seem to stay cold just fine.

I did it for one of my births (i'd had swelling with one)....it worked pretty well. I made a comfrey infusion & soaked my cloth pads in it, then froze. It worked great! I laid a towel under me though, because as the pad thaws it turns wet. Once it turned wet I just removed it & used a fresh one when necessary.

I did it with witch hazel on GladRags and it felt lovely.
