Cycle cancelled

My RE called today. I've been having a problem with my estrogen. It isn't jumping high enough so we have to cancel. This was supposed to be my first IVF. I have Stage IV endo. Does this have anything to do with my poor response to the meds? I'm right now in shock or denial. I can't believe it. RE said we'll talk more about when I go in for u/s and b/w. ER was supposed to be this week. He said we may change this cycle to IUI. Is that a good idea. Isn't it possible to have like 6 kids that way? I can't believe this.

I'm new to all this stuff, so unfortunately I don't have any advice for you. Lots of to you, though. I can't imagine how disappointing that must be.

If it makes you feel better, AF came today for me. And of course, we all know what endo symptoms do during that time. Yuck.

Oh, Jenny. I am so sorry.

I think it would probably be ok to go forward with IUI if there are only two or three follicles. Any more than that and I would be scared of high order multiples too - and I think most clinics wouldn't even responsibly go forward anyway.

Insemination is sched for Wed am. There's only one follicle ready to go. It's not looking good but it's worth the try. I'll keep you posted. Thanks for all the support and well wishes.

Insemination went well. It was quick. RE said I had a "fair" chance and there is a lot to consider....endo, whether my tubes are functioning, the fact that I only have one follicle, etc. So I'm just supposed to wait and call if I get my period so i can start the next cycle. With some new meds of course...that will hopefully work!

I'm glad things went well and I hope you don't need to explore any of those other options. When will you know for sure/when will you test?

RE said I could just POS 2 weeks from Wed.

That's the first day I can start testing, too! I'll probably wait until later though just so I don't waste any more tests.

Maybe we can both get BFP's together-I can send you my dust though because I have a June wedding in Idaho that I'd be a little sad to miss, even if it's for a good reason.
