I am very interested in learning more about GD, so I have decided to research it for school. I would like to be able to apply it to my own life, as well as teach others the ideas and methods behind it. So, please tell me what is a "must read" in learning more about GD (books, articles, websites, etc.)? Any suggestions will be very appreciated!!!

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.
Any recommendations on GD literature???

I'm new here but my favorite books so far are:
Redirecting Children's Behavior (link in my sig)
Positive Discipline for Preschoolers
Becoming the Parent You Want to Be
2 and 3 are both listed in the sticky at the top of this forum. Becoming the Parent You Want to Be is excellent and so helpful to me in many ways.

I would read these three:
Becoming the parent you want to be
The Discipline Book
Unconditional parenting
They are the books that get mentioned the most, in my opinion, around here. The first two are large and they are the types of books you will come back to again and again when you have specific questions. The third one is one that gets mentioned a lot around here and it will make you rethink the idea of discipline. I still do discipline after reading it, but I have definitely changed a lot of my ideas from it.
