A comment in another thread made me wonder.

I'm not sure I can really sum up my feelings about appearance into one voting category or another.

- I don't think one is more aesthetically pleasing than another de facto. Personally, all penises look just a tiny bit silly to me.

- my DH is circ'ed and my sons are intact. At first, after Griff was born, he looked odd to me but that passed very quickly and now he (and Reese) look normal to me. But DH also looks unremarkable to me because for the first 27 years of my life, that's the image of "normal penis" that I had in my mind.

- But I do now see intact penises as just that, intact, and circumcised penises as surgically altered, so I find intactness to be more desirable.

hehehe... that's pretty much my opinion. i don't have much of a preference (i've only seen a few penises in my life, anyway, and the only intact ones i've seen have been on infants), but i don't believe my aesthetic views should be imposed on someone else's body parts.

I can't vote I have a girl....well I guess I can...my DD is intact and I do prefer the appearance of an intact penis...should I vote...can we add an I have a girl option?

Well... dh is circ'ed, and since I prefer looking at his penis to any other, I guess that would mean I prefer a circ'ed appearance.

Our son has hypospadias, and while he still has his foreskin now, it will be used for his reconstruction in November. But I won't ever consider him circ'ed.

I don't have a pref and my girlchild is intact and this boy to be born will be intact.

I agree with the poster that all penises look a little silly.

All genitalia isn't very pretty if you think about it..

I picked that I prefer the look of an intact penis, and that my boys are intact. However, I just want to clarify that it isn't my sons' intact penises that I prefer the look of but rather just intact penises in general- especially when it comes to my sexual partner. The boys just don't look "weird and cut" to me. I kept them intact because circ is very painful and very damaging. It had nothing to do with how they look. I just think now that circ'd penises look "broken".

I prefer the look of an intact penis these days, because I've learned so much about circumcision through the years. When I see a circumcised penis I can't help but feel bad for the boy/man and what he had taken without his consent. Something very traumatic, unfair, and unethical was done to him...something was taken...he was robbed. He's left without protection. He's been scarred.

So, it's not so much the 'look' that matters to me one way or another, it's what that look represents---respect & wholeness vs. violation and trauma.

I didn't leave my son intact for aesthetic reasons, I left him intact for humanitarian ones.

I have read that there are other ways to fix hypospadias than to use the foreskin, although this is the most common way. You might do a search on this- even at cirp.org, to see, just in case. Good luck!

I think intact just looks normal to me so that would be my preference.

DH is intact as are both my brothers and both my sons so when I do see a cut penis it looks odd to me. Like something is missing and part of it is exposed. It also looks sexually aroused....as an intact penis looks slightly more like a circ'd one when erect. Hope that makes sense.

it is not the most attractive part of the human body regardless of its state. My boys are intact.

Do you know about the surgery to correct this without using the foreskin. It could be that he can actually keep his and still have it fixed.

I don't really know how to answer either. Dh is the only penis I have any experience with, so to me, he's pretty normal, but he's circ-ed. I never would have cut a son, reagardless of what his father looked like, so it wasn't an issue of looks for me. I guess I probably prefer intact, since circ-ed looks altered.

In some ways, I have to remind myself that ds's penis is going to stay like this, since in my world, baby boys are intact and adult men are cut. I forget sometimes that ds isn't going to grow into looking more circumcised, but it's not an asthetic thing for me at all.

so I don't really know how to vote.

I chose I like the look of an intact penis, and my son is intact. Though I could care less what my partners penis looks like, as long as it works and I love they guy, YK? BUT of course circ is wrong and shouldn't be done, so I don't feel I could ever choose that I like the appereanse of a circ penis. It just feels wrong.

Also, DS#1 is circ, but #2 is intact. I don't look at DS#1 and think "OMG it's hedious!" because he's my son and I love every inch of him, no matter what.

i'm not trying to sound like a sex crazed fun girl, but i have a past:

i don't know if it was the guys themselves, but the circed ones just couldn't work it the way the noncirced ones could. actually, it was the american guys that couldn't work it i don't know if it was their jewels or their idea of makin' whoopy.

but, i'm a mommie now, and i'm well behaved with my husband, and our son is intact

I personally think the penis is a funny looking thing, with or without a foreskin. Although now that I have two intact sons, whenever I see a circed one (including poor dh ) I almost feel embarassed for him, like it needs to be covered up or something.

So I guess though I don't "prefer" the look of one or the other, when I see a circed one now, it just seems unnatural(which it is ).

Take care,
Tara

Couldn't choose one; I prefer the look of an intact penis and I have one son who is circ'd and one who is intact.

I can't vote, I have 3 girls. I haven't DTD with an uncirc'd person before, but DH is ordering the 'equipment' to regrow his so that will rayerfully: change :

Honestly, I can tell by the pictures on the regrowth sites that the uncirc'd penis looks much more natural or as-intended and a little bit more *ahem* attractive, to me.

My dh is circ'd and ds is intact. I definately prefer the look of an intact penis, but really I dont care how it looks so much as how it functions and in general, a circ'd penis just doesnt function properly (its not the penis owner's fault, it just isnt supposed to have that little skin!). Anyway, I just think intact penises are cute Peek a Boo!!

I think so too. The pubic hair really doesn't help much either!

I can't really vote, I have a little girl, if I had a son he would be intact, tho, of course.

I guess I prefer a circ'd penis, simply because its the only type of peter I've ever seen/had any experience with.
