What are you eating? Following a specific PG diet?

Just wondering what you all are eating and if you are following any sort of special diet.
I realize some people are in the throes of serious morning sickness and are just eating whatever will stay down.
But what do you all think you should/wish you were eating?

------
I guess I'm mostly doing the WAP diet http://www.westonaprice.org/children...ormothers.html with the Brewer diet also in mindhttp://www.blueribbonbaby.org/ifyoua...nt/index.shtml But much smaller quantities than they are talking about, I just don't have that much appetite. I love milk, so I do drink about that amount anyway (raw, pastured organic) and I'm doing ok on eggs and veggies. But overall either diet is just too much food. My other thing is that I have a little bit of sugar (well, organic dried can juice) in my tea throughout the day (mostly herbal, normally 1 cup black tea or coffee in am) which is on the list to avoid, but otherwise I have a have a hard time drinking enough liquids.

During my last pregnancy I followed a nutrition guide from my Bradley birthing classes. I'm going to have to dig out all the info from it again. I had a neat little checklist to keep on the fridge to make sur eI was getting enough protien and such.

I stayed healthy the whole time (just a slightly high blood pressure but nothing serious) NO gestational diabetes and I ended up with a 10lb 2 oz baby. So I'm guessing it was pretty healthy for him too

I eat whatever I want. I have never followed a specific diet during any of my PG's. I drink a TON of water, eat my fruits, veggies. Drink organic milk and eat organic eggs.

i don't follow anything strictly but i do keep the brewer diet in mind. also i try to restrict simple carbs as much as i can force myself to.

I am a 'WAP' girl too - did you see my post in traditional foods? I posted the reccomended WAP diet and added a big "WTF????" Seriously, I am totally into traditional cooking, non-processed foods, raw milk and whatnot, but that diet is crazy. There is NO WAY I could eat beef and fish EVERY DAY.

I really like the Bradley diet - I think thats pretty reasonable.

I normally don't have a problem eating when I'm pregnant, first trimester excluded. But my last pg was wierd...all I could eat was peanuts with raisins and chocolate milk with bananas. I'm hoping this time is like the other ones! One of my favorite things about being pregnant is how good food tastes!

So I don't plan on following any method, just what my body tells me to eat.

Right now I am still pretty much eating what I want. When m/s hits I will eat whatever might stay put. Afterward I will continue to eat whatever sounds good to me at the time. I will try to stay healthy about it, but there are those time when you just gotta have the junk!

Oooh yeah, I'd forgotten about that! Goodie.

I'll follow the Brewer (recommended by Bradley) diet loosely. Main rules: drink a gallon of water a day and eat 80+g of protein. Also eat every 2-3 hours while awake, and keep a snack by the bed. Time to stock up on Luna bars.

So far I've been just eating what I normally eat, which is a low-carb (sort-of) diet. We eat lots of salads, protein, etc and try to keep the carbs to a REAL serving at each meal instead of using it as filler. It was a bad habit that I got into as a student because carbs are so cheap. Now we are trying to use veggies as "filler" and we all feel a lot better that way. The only thing different is that I take more vitamins (I MUST find some good prenatals that I don't have to take 4 times a day!) and I try to drink an extra 12oz glass of milk and extra water. I'm headed for a visit with the doctor today, just a chat, maybe she'll have some words of wisdom.

Oooh, and I also signed up with babyfit.com and you can track your meals there. It's a lot of work, but the days that I have been entering my food I seem to be fairly balanced, and they are typical days, so I think I'm doing ok. At least I don't feel like I'm STARVING like I did in week 4! And I think I haven't gained much, if any, weight yet, just trying to stay HEALTHY.

No diet here, I just try to eat more smaller meals. Looks like I should up my milk/dairy intake though! I deserve yogurt smoothies everyday - huh? I use Stoneyfield Farm yogurt, frozen fruit, and some juice, oh and wheat germ if I remember. And both advise butter ... I guess I shouldn't feel guilty about the butter I put on my bagel (although the simple carb-ness of my bagel was bad).

Babyfit, eh? Tracking nutrition sounds like a good idea. But it is clearly mainstream: "ask your doctor if you want to know approximately how much weight you should gain" and telling me I should gain between 25 and 35 lb. blah blah! I wish someone would tell pregnant women, "Eat correctly, move around a little, and whatever you gain is the right amount."

Yeah, I find you have to take most information with a grain of salt, regardless of where it comes from. I find it helpful to be able to look at the amount of calories, fat, protein, carbs, etc that I was eating in a day, regardless of how it compared to how they "say" I should be eating. But when it came up with 45% of my calories coming from fat one day by lunch I knew I had to change something for the rest of the day and look a little closer at some of the things I was eating!

Not really.. I am trying to eat more protein though and drink MORE water!

I eat a vegetarian diet with fish. Sometimes I crave the meat but I just can't bring myself to eat it. My diet worked very well with ds1 and hopefully will go well with #2. I'm eating alot of greens and eggs and have been craving savory foods like pizza!

Last time I was preggo I increased my salt and butter intake because food didn't taste as good! So this time I expect the same. I am attempting to drink more water, and I bought a bag of chocolate bars! Gotta take advantage! I lost it all plus 10 lbs w/ my DD because of bfing (still going actually), so I am not too worried. Otherwise, I am eating the same as pre-preggo. We eat local organic, raw dairy, local honey, home baked bread, lots of yogurt, naturally fed meats/fish. It is a much healthier diet than when I was preggo w/ DD. And my glass of RRL tea every day in 1st tri.

Mostly vegan (we do the blood type diet) with exeption of some chicken and fish. My only food craving is fried chicken fingers! I have a hemp protein shake with soy milk first thing in the morning and it keeps my blood sugar stable all day. I'm adding to our meals: hemp oil, walnut oil and ground flax when possible. I'm adding ascorbic acid to my drinking water as well because I have found the taste to be much more acceptable plus it helps with my allergies which are always bad while pg. I have continued drinking my kombucha daily (in small amounts) which I read helps m/s. Between that and the protein I have been able to control my m/s completely (it was bad for a few days when I didn't have my shake). Lots of water, sea salt, local honey and lots of garlic and onions for a healthy placenta. I'm going to start with the RRLT too. Not too much of an appetite so far.
