HELP! my sis(with a 4 mo old just said...)

Umm she cant *wait* for her lil one to understand *mommys going to spank your butt if you dont lay down and go to sleep*:

shes got a 4 month old and thats it. I have a 2 1/2 year old...so....I told her we dont spank and you surely shouldnt spank for not sleeping....

I need FREE resources to help gently guide her into the right direction...she was CIO until I gave her some info..so shes in the right mood for me to sway her my way..

I would try approaching this in a very gentle supportive way, as in , "I noticed that the other day you said...and I was just thinking, you must be so exhuasted right now to feel that way. I read this really great book, the No-cry sleep solution that might help you get some ideas on how to cope with this sleepless time period. You can get it at the local library! And you know, I'm kind of worried about you. Are you doing okay? Are you coping with this? I (think you might have a touch of/know someone who had/had some) post-partum depression, and it can be really rough. Have you thought about joining a mother's support group/seeing a counselor/going to LLL/etc?"
