More meal ideas for baby please!

I just reread the chapter intro in NT for babies and it says not to give meat until 10 months old. Yikes. I've been giving DS ground beef with broccoli for a few weeks now and he is not yet 9 months! So what else can I give him that packs on the protein and good fats at this age?

If he likes the meat and seems to do well with it, why not continue? We tend to feed ds from our plates based on his interest, and cutting/mashing as needed. I also like to cook veggies in bone broth -- taste great and good for fat, minerals, etc.

I actually find it extremely interesting that dd2, at 7 months, has had some veggies, fruits and meat . . . and yet her poop still doesn't stink. To me this is an indication that she's digesting the very very small amount of food that she gets pretty completely. It also reminds me that dd2's poop didn't stink until we introduced grains.
Anyway, every baby's different. Dd1 showed very little interest in food until 8 or 9 months (and even then not much), while dd2 started trying to grab food at 4 months! (we held her off a bit, though)

have you tried egg yolks yet. my 10 month old dd seems to really like them. She also likes yogurt. I am going to make some chicken stock this week and see if she likes it. I thought I would mix it with some veggies for her

Oh, my baby's poop does stink...the first food I gave him was avocadoes at 6 months and it stank right from the beginning! Does that mean he's not digesting well? What I've been feeding him has been avocado, bananas, the ground beef w/broccoli, egg yolks, some beef broth, and yes the convenient jarred sweet potatoes and sweet peas. Is he ready for yogurt/cheese?

Skip the jars and purees and just give him good foods he can self-feed himself. My dd would take bits of meat at that age and egg yolks.

To be honest, I don't know if stinky means that it isn't well-digested, but I think lack of stink would mean, well, that there's nothing left to get stinky, kwim?
I just gave my dd a small taste of yogurt today, and she's only 7 months. I'm comfortable with it, but cautious because there's some dairy allergy in my family. Because dd has no teeth yet I'm trying to stick to the most pureed texture possible. I prechew her food, actually, rather than using a grinder because I reason that way the amylase in my saliva will assist her digestion (I didn't prechew the yogurt though ). So she's had some raw carrot as well as cooked and some apple. After dd1's digestion troubles I'm trying to be very careful with sugars and starches.

IIRC, egg yolk can make the poops stinky... like rotten eggs!

I'd like to not give him any jars but sometimes I don't have anything homemade that I can feed him. I do give him egg yolks with liver. But the meat thing, how often do you feed them meat and if it's not pureed, how do you give it to them?

I gave my dd little bits of soft meat- tender beef or chicken- worked well. If they're not ready to eat it soft, non-pureed, then they're not ready to eat it at all.
