Wisdom tooth pain!

Of course, this is perfect timing
My bottom right wisdom tooth is about halfway in, I still have gum covering the rear half, and it's been like that for a long time now.
Well, about 4 days ago it started aching and the surrounding gum tissue started swelling a bit.
Now it's aching all the time (not terrible, but definitely uncomfortable!), it's hard to open my jaw, and pretty much impossible to chew anything hard, as I can't close my jaw completely because of the swelling.
So I can't eat anything that I can't just half-chew, and even then it really aches bad after I do eat (like right now, I had some soft toast, and I'm in a fair amount of pain atm).

I just don't know what to do, I really don't want to take pain killers, and topical stuff just seems like it wouldn't be a good idea...I don't want it to get numb and then be biting down making it more swollen...*sigh*.

I'm not entirely sure why I posted this, there's probably nothing that can be done, but this just really sucks. Especially if I end up going into labor while it's still like this (gritting teeth while bearing down would be a bad thing!)

Thanks for listening to me vent, and if anybody should happen to have any suggestions, fire away!

Could you call your dentist and OB and see if they have suggestions?

My guess is you will have to wait until after delivery to do anything
