What is going on?

I woke up at 4am yesterday and went to the bathroom. I wiped and had a little yellowish mucous and went back to bed. I started having contractions as soon as I got in bed. They kept up, but weren't painful. I walked my kids to school (about 1.25 miles roundtrip) and had plenty of non-painful contractions. The day wore on and I had more of the same. When the kids got home from school, they pretty much fizzled out. They picked up again last night after bedtime, but now I'm only getting like 1-2 an hour.

My uterus is actually sore today from all of the contracting yesterday. I am emotionally and physically exhausted and I just can't take much more of this. I really thought yesterday was the day. As of today, this is my longest pregnancy ever. I'm so frustrated. :

My due date was 6 days ago and I have been having on and off contractions for weeks now, sometimes they get painful and regular and last for a few hours and then, fizzle out. It is just maddening not knowing and getting excited that "this is it".

Ditto. I've noticed a lot of people here noticing more contractions during the night... strange. After 4 days of off & on, sometimes intensifying but never 'breaking through' early labor, I am now actually hoping to keep still, avoid or ignore the contractions, and take a day off. I need to not think about it anymore! I wish I'd told everyone, including myself, that I was due on the 23rd instead of the 3rd... so we'd all be pleasantly surprised if anything happened sooner.

I am getting the little bits of yellow mucus & the on & off ctx all the time too. I am not really 'due' until Sunday & I am already getting frustrated, so I can just imagine how you feel. Maybe your body needs to relax rather then the walking...I don't know. I feel for you mama!! This has go to be the hardest part of pregnancy, the waiting.
