He will be 4 in January. He has a 30 day probation at pre-school. He has the capabilities to do it. He regressed when his brother started crawling. He goes at pre-school. He resists at home. I;m done. There is obviously a pay off. I just want to stop.

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

Well, what would happen if you didn't put a diaper on him?
My dd (just turned 4) only recently started using the toilet--that was after 3 weeks of no diapers (she would just go in her clothes or on the floor) I had a difficult time not getting upset, remaining calm and happy no matter what, but I think that's important.
Don't have advice, really--just wanted to offer encouragement and empathy. I so know what it's like!

I hear ya! Mine just this past weekend finally "got it"!!! He is wearing underwear all day now (pullup at night) and has had 0 or 1 accident per day the past few days!
Just letting you know there IS hope! I tried about everything I could think of, and it just did not work till HE was ready. Your guy will get it too! Going naked for a few mornings till he pooped in the potty helped us...he seemed more aware if he did not have underwear or a diaper on.

So, don't change it!!
Tell him that for wet diapers, he has to do it himself. For poopy ones, you'll help. But he's responsible for getting them off, disposing of them properly, you'll help wipe, and then he can put the new ones on and wash his hands.
Frankly, that's what got our son to stop pooping in his pull-up. It was a LOT more work for him to do it himself than to do it in the potty. He did get it.

LynnS6:
That is a GREAT idea. I think we may try that. I've seen all sorts of ideas (bribing, etc), but getting her to help w/ the work may be just the ticket.
