Alden was born in the water at 10:37 this morning.
We don't have a middle name yet. Labor wasn't too bad until around 9:45-ish, even then I was smiling inbetween things. The last 20 minutes or so got really intense. It sucked, but it's over and he's here

Afterpains are also sucking, expecially when he nurses He's got a really strong suck, my nipple is already sore!

He weighed 8 lbs 4 oz, 20 1/4 in long.

CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW, you posted here at about 10am this morning and you had him at 10:37??? WOW mama, you are strong!!!!! There's no way I would have been able to function, let alone get on MDC!! :

Wow!! Congrats mama! I am sorry your nipples are sore, be sure you have him positioned & latched on correctly. That usually is the cause for nipple soreness at the start.

I had the same problem right at first and his latch was perfect he did and still does have a strong suck, so strong he was sucking the docs finger when just his head was out and she was getting gunk outta his mouth.

Congrats on your birth, Welcome Alden!!! I love the name, my son is Alden Isaiah. Wise guardian....beautiful!! You are the only other person I've ever know who has named there child that!!! (my son is all excited that there's a baby with the same name)
