I've never had accupuncture and HATE needles of any kind. What is accupuncture like and does it hurt at all???

Not sure myself, but after the suggestions about using it to induce labour on this board, I've booked my first appointment for it this afternoon - will write back to let you know how it goes!

I've been doing acupuncture for years, and to me, it's the most relaxing thing I do!

You don't even feel the needles (they are about the width of a hair). I don't even think of them as needles actually.

It won't be painful. I hope you enjoy it. Acupuncture is wonderful

I just had my 2nd session the other day for ICP and as the PP said you don't really feel them. THOUGH during the rest period when the needles are in you and your relaxed, I went to itch and subsequently flexed a muscle the needles were in I felt some discomfort. So I just don't move.

Wow so I had it this afternoon and it was really cool. Not painful. Afterwards my body felt both relaxed and invigorated and my mind much more calm, less anxious. During the procedure it hurt my back to be lying down so long and definitely it was starting some movement and better circulation in my uterus.

I'm going to try again tomorrow. Countdown to induction is on and I'm up for anything to avoid it.
