CHILD HONORING... New Book by RAFFI

It is called Child Honoring: How to Turn this World Around.
It is quite an amazing work...an anthology for parents, educators, policy makers and anyone else who cares....
There are chapters by Penelope Leach, Riane Eisler, Stanley Greenspan, Barbara Kingsolver, Mary Gordon (Roots of Empathy), to name but a few.
I am still reading it... I was able to hear him speak on the work a few weeks ago and I left feeling inspired and hopeful, which is so refreshing in these times...
It really truly does give a vision for a world where children are honored, loved and respected. And there are concrete examples of how to do it, not just fluff.
There is an accompanying CD which is also for adults and Beluga Grads... called
Resisto Dancing: Songs for Compassionate Revolution

Anyway, I haven't posted for quite some time, but wanted to say hi to anyone who remembers me...

I think Mothering should do a Living Treasures with Raffi, in the mag...
This is his new calling...and it is really big, and quite visionary.

I always post in a Raffi thread!

It's so wonderful to see someone like him, who I idolized and loved as a child, now that I'm an adult. He is such a wonderful person and I love what he is doing for our world and our children!

There is also a section on his site for "Beluga Grads" (all the people in their mid-early 20's who grew up with his music some of whom are now raising kids of their own...)
He has a place where you can write and let him know what kinds of inspired work/deeds/events for positive social/environmental change, etc.. they have done...
