DH stepped out with the kids for a quick sec to get a movie - he'd kill me if he knew I was on the comer as I am supposed to be resting. But I am sort of on an all time adrenanline rush.
Very quickly my water started leaking on Sept.11/06 pm, no contractions. Sept.13/06 around 3:00 in the afternoon I started having contractions, went into the hospital around 5pm to find I was 3cm dilated with a bulging bag of waters which was ruptured without my consent.
: I laboured naturally with the support of my wonderful husbnad and doula until my baby girl was born at 9:48pm weighing in at 6lbs, 13ozs. I had one teeny tiny tear that required no stitching. I was released after 12hrs, after much negotiating - they wanted me to stay an entire 24hrs. All in all, it was a great birth as I was successful in achieving my VBA2C even tough it was in a hopital setting with a few interventions I was not keen on (ie AROM, CFM....) Obviously my uterine scar, even after 2 previous c/s's, held up beautifully!
My baby is beautiful (of course I am biased), and is nursing like a pro! Her stats:
Ella Ann
Sept. 13/06 9:48pm
6lbs, 13ozs
20 inches
Thanks to all the mamas here for your wonderful support, i am proud to be a part of this DDC. I hope all of you who are still pregnant have awesome births. I have to admit having an all natural vaginal birth was one of the hardest things I have ever done, but so empowering and beautiful!
