My DS would like to starting "writing" letters and receiving mail. I am wondering if I can find a Pen Pal for him?

He can't actually read or write but loves to draw and make books so that is what he wants to send. Anyone here want to set our sons up?

I have a 5 yr old dd that would love to have a pen pal. She isn't reading or writing yet, but sounds a lot like your son in that she LOVES to draw. If you are interested please PM me. I also have a just turned 7 yr old ds that is just now learning to read that would be interested as well. BTW we are in TX.

My daughter would like a pen pal. Maybe we can start a list or something.

Oh...My son would love, love, love this! Count us in... he just turned six, he can't read but *little* words, but this would be an awesome way for him to draw more, yes, even practice handwriting.

Timmy is 6yo and reads and writes pretty well. He doesn't care if his penpal writes or sends artwork though.

My son is 5yo. He'd also love a penpal!!! We'd love to do this! He'd love to exchange pictures and drawings and maybe stickers and things with someone through the mail!

If there is enough interest in this, I volunteer to make a list and match kiddos up.

That would be great! Maybe we can get a thread going with the ages and locations of the kids. It'd be cool to spread out geographical locations a little to get an idea of different areas!

We would love to as well. My son is 5 as well! We are in B.C. Canada

If anyones older kids are interested I have a 13 yr old dd, 12 yr old dd, and a 10 yr old dd whom would be love a pen pal as well.

So for me I would have 5 that would participate (or 2 younger ones if none of the other older kids are interested).

13 dd
12 dd
10 dd
7 ds
5 dd

In Texas.

We're in Illinois.

Thanks Mackenzie! I was going to volunteer but I will gladly let you do it LOL

I have an almost five year old boy who would prefer another boy (he has a lot of girl friends and would love a boy friend). We live in WV, close to DC.

I would love to match him with VillageMama's DS if possible because I am from Canada and he has so much fun there when we go

Lady, you are about to have quite enough on your plate! You just worry about that, kay? Thanks

Should I post this elsewhere too, or just keep it to the homeschooling forum?

We'd like a homeschooling penpal. Not because I have anything against those who don't HS. I just think it will be interesting to see homeschoolers on other sides of the country, etc maintain a long term relationship. I'd like ours to be a homeschooling project.

My 4 y/o son would also like to participate. What a great idea!

This is such an awesome idea. I'd like to include both my boys (ages 6 and 4). My oldest writes very little but loves to draw pictures for stories and my youngest just love to draw. We live in Southern California.
