Theosophy and Sri Atmananda?

Anyone have any information on the background of Sri Atmananda schools? Links to Sai Baba? Links to Theosophy w/ Krishna Menon? Just trying to do my reserach...

Just perusing the forum. Just wondering if you've gone to the Sri Atmananda school there in Austin. (you id says that's where you live.) We lived near it and it sounds like a great place, but I don't know too much about it as my dd is only 2. I did have a friend who taught there, but it didn't pay enough for him to keep doing it.

This is not going to be very helpful, but I am also very interested in Sri Atmananda. I am debating between that and the Waldorf school and I am kind of strattling the fence at this point. I am planning on visiting them both in the near future, but if anyone has any experience with either or both, advice would be greatly appreciated. There are certain things about both that I really like and of course things about both that I don't like. Another issue is that we are unable to afford either at this point (although by the time ds is school age things may be different) and I'd like to know more about their financial aid programs. Well anyway, no answers here, just more questions!

I have a friend who researched about a zillion Austin schools before she settled on one for her ds. I'll get the low down on Sri Atmananda from her.

One comment she did make was that the younger ages were basically a "free school" but it was really expensive for a free school and she didn't think the materials were that good for the $$.
