I know I've seen several on these boards. I'm having my second try with IUI and donor sperm probably around the end of this week. I start monitoring in the morning.

Good luck.

HI GIRLS
Hi there,
I hope to do IUI this week also. My first time . I have u/s on Tuesaday, but doing clomid. The more I tell others I am using Clomid, the more I hear people say it is a waste of time. Oh well, I am not able to go the inject. route, this is mt last and only route to take.
There is a great site ....www.ovusoft.com
or google ovusoft forum and they ve a iui/ivf/infer. section. You an look at many many old posts about iui/. When you do get there, go to top of section and look at "all q & about this forum"

Good luck to all

I'm an IUI newbie--first attempt in a few weeks.

I had my first IUI on Friday and Saturday of last week. I have a blocked tube from an ectopic pregnancy. My doctor used 100 mg. of Clomid, and I had two good follicles on my left (good) side, and I think four on my bad side. Everything looked good with uterine walls (I had a D&C to clean them up a few months ago) and my husband had crazy amounts of sperm. I am hoping that we've made it as easy as possible for conception to occur!

If this doesn't work, I honestly don't know if I have it in me to continue. My daughter is going to be five in October, and we've been trying (although not full-time) since she was one. Infertility treatment is taxing and expensive. Ugh.

Hey you sound bummed in this post. Your body knows what it knowsand while all this medical stuff is discouraging you have lots of good options available to you.. not least of all which is knowing that we all feel bummed when we get this strange medical advise.. I mean who cares what your follies look like they are inside of you. you aren't really supposed to know about them anyway.. You can only know about your heart and healthy spirit. control what you can and accept the rest of you.

I find it interesting that so many women know the size and number of their follies. I do IUI's and my dr. has never looked w/ultrasounds at my follies. I ovulate on my own, and she doesn't see a need for the u/s. Do women only have U/S's when they don't ovulate on their own and need trigger shots? P.S. I don't have infertility insurance coverage, so I'm not willing to spend $$ just out of curiosity.

G.L. everyone!
