Ten-Month-Old will only nurse laying down HELP

: Around the time my dd turned 2 months old she began preferring to nurse laying down. I continued to offer the breast sitting up but she will just fast if she can't nurse laying down. It has been 8 months of this and she is not interested in solids, so we are having to come home to nurse every 2 hours or I endure her fussiness. I am so frustrated. Often time she won't even nurse laying down at a friend's house--it HAS TO BE IN HER OWN BED!! I have talked with the folks at local La Leche League meetings, friends, her ped, took her to a homeopath. i am at my wits end. She doesn't take a bottle. other mamas have told me that it's a phase that passes but that doesn't seem to be the case. I have tried several different nursing positions. The only one that works is strapping her into her car seat-sometimesAny ideas? What can I try?

My daughter was much like this. I never did figure out a way to encourage her to change. She still prefers lying down, but will sometimes nurse sitting on me : style. We don't nurse as often anymore so I guess it just stopped bothering me. She also didn't start getting into solids until 13 or 14 mo so I was going a little crazy there for a while. I wish I had some advice to offer, but I just wanted to let you know you're not the only one!

CST! Some kids have minor stuctural problems that make it uncomfortable to nurse in certain positions. Craniosacral therapy can really make a difference. You can find a PT or chiro who does it and it should be covered by insurance.

Try a chiropractic adjustment, he may be uncomfortable in the other positions.
