Back on topic, I heard this episode too. The mom sorta sounded like Sarah Vowell, and then I couldn't get that image out of my mind. Of Sarah Vowell adopting an Romanian orphan.
Yeah I've always kinda thought he was gay. Don't know for sure. My crush still stands though!

The mom's voice WAS hilariously like Sarah Vowell's. The dad had kind of a goofy voice too. I thought maybe their voices drove the kid crazy! :

Ira's married! To a woman. I heard him talking about it once. It was fairly recent that he got married. So maybe that helps with the fantasies?

Oh, you are so lucky.
Ira Glass came here, to IU, to speak an I wanted to go so bad. DH went and said it was exceptional. I stayed home with the kids:

I would have gone & DH would stay home!!

I missed it this weekend. I have a bunch of TALs on cd because we had a gift subscription to audible for a year and you get a "subscription" show a week....I haven't listened to all of them yet.

Did anyone hear the episode about super powers about the woman who trained her entire life essentially to become a spy? :

I finally got to hear the attachment one, YEAH! It was so good!

Now, I have to get to last weeks...I always seem to miss them when they are actually ON!

Oh well!
