I liked how they had the spinoff show in with Grey's. I probably wouldnt have watched it if it was seperate.

I cried when Addison was told that she didn't have any eggs left. And I never even really liked her as a character! (Too fancy, schmantzy, expensively dressed -- I know enough of those in Manhattan already...) It really hit home for me. I spent years wanting a baby but the timing wasn't right -- career commitment and guy troubles -- and always feared missing out on what I wanted most of all...

I agree that it would've been better as two different episodes.
ITA that some of it was just so far fetched!

so based on the trailer i now think dh is right that mer/der will head for the rocks at least temporarily. i don't think burktina will pull it off but dh thinks yes, that she is trying so hard and they were all cuddly at the end of the last episode.

I remember I remember! The actress who played the surrogate mom was from Joan of Arcadia. It was driving me nuts. I could see her in her leather jacket with angry attitude but couldn't remember what show! She was Joan's brothers gf. Yeah! My mind does work!!!! Tina~

What if they throw in a real kicker like Izzie is pregnant by George?? They were drunk afterall.

I think Derek is gonna be Chief. I also think he and Meredith aren't gonna make it. I can see her ending up with someone who they haven't even introduced yet and then Derek can always be acting like an ass to everyone when he sees her with new man.

Burktina-yep gonna marry but look out during the adjustment.

So: best facial expression from tonight's show: Callie in the last few minutes, drinking margaritas with the girls. She's so going to cut out George's heart with her teeth.

I was sitting watching the end tonight, and I thought "these boys are a bunch of babies". Derek
is all, "oh no she tried to drown herself, and I want to be chief I can't do both at the same time".
Then tonight he sees Mer being supported by her friends, and he's all "boo hoo why aren't you
including me, why aren't you asking for my help". Then Burke, :Puke will he just see Christina
for who she is, not who she isn't, and love her who herself. GRRRRR!

I also thought the best scene was the girls haning out at the end and Izzy giving her "I desperately want to be loved speech". I loved Mer when she said, "you're talking about Denny, right?". Like slowly Mer and Callie were realizing at the same time what Izzy was really talking about and Mer was trying to drag Izzy off that train. I agree that Callie is going to seriously maim George when this all hits the fan.

I am so over Derek. He is such a pain right now. I'm not sure what he expects from Meredith, but he is turning into a whiney mess. Not attractive.

So: I had to go out last night. I put in a tape before I left, and came bnack to discover teh tape ran out before the show even started!! Aaak! Thank god for televisionwithoutpity, right?

Do you think they will resolve the climber's story line? Or am i just not intuitive enough to get the whole story from last night's episode??

Wow, I couldn't believe last night about the 4th climber. I really hope they wrap up that storyline. And I feel so bad for Ava and Alex but at least now that she knows she was leaving her husband they can finally be together if they would just admit they have the hots for eachother. I think it would be great if next season Alex and Ava are togther with the baby, especially if Addison sticks around. Alex looked so comfy rocking the baby last night. Swoon.

I felt so bad for Meredith as her father came in and read her the riot act. I mean I understand he is grieving but sheesh. I really like the Chief acting as her fake daddy because he understands her work, what she went through with her mom, and the whole history to messed up Meredith. I see Mer's sister getting sick and her father having to ask her for forgiveness because Mer will be a match and need to help her sister with something.

And I am so glad Mer is learning to stand on her own with out Derrick. I kinda like them apart a little.

Could Callie wind up Chief? That would make for interesting if she turned out to be Izzie's boss. Hmmm... And Callie's little speech to Bailey. I really think Callie feels like she never gets credit for deserving stuff like George and now the Chief position. I think we learn who is the Chief next week. Is next week the finale?

And Izzie, yowza, she needs to step off the train a little. I loved her little speech but the daggers she got from Callie, Callie totally knows what is going on now as does Mer.

And are they going to bring back Izzie's daughter storyline? And who else thought Callie was pg last night and then Izzie when her and George were in the closet.

Callie isn't an attending, she's a resident. So, she could get Chief Resident (and be Izzie's boss) but she's not in the running for CHIEF, like Addi and the boys are.

I thought last night they said she was in the running? Someone made a comment on how valuable? Callie was or how efficient. And then Bailey made a comment about waiting to find out about Chief and Callie said her too at which point Bailey looked shocked that Callie was in the running and Callie said why wouldn't she be. And gave a little speech about how she deserves to try for it just a s much as anyone.

I don't typically like Izzy much but boy I felt for her last night. She did the nobel thing for George which shows just how much she loves him. That was really wonderful.

I feel horrible for Callie but she deserves much better than George anyways.

Callie's speech was in reference to the chief resident position, not chief of surgery. There's a heirarchy, and each "level" has a chief. Bailey and Callie are going into the last resident year, and that's the year the Chief Resident comes from, so they are both in the running for it. Derek, Burke, Addison and Mark are all vying for the Department Chief position, which is esentially the Big Boss of the Surgical Staff :LOL
