Grey's Anatomy - Page 95

I am liking Callie more and more each episode... Bailey is still my favorite, but Callie is the underdog, and I like that. Her character feels very real to me.

did anyone else FREAK OUT when callie and addison were talking and addison was complaing about being stalked by pregnant women? callie just paused and looked at her sheepishly. i SO thought she was about to tell her she was pregnant. i sat up and screamed "WHAT!? SHE'S PREGNANT!?" and almost hyperventilated before she cleared it up.

my dh was laughing hysterically, "women all over the country just had that same reaction!"

I just hope Callie and Izzy aren't both pregnant.

Oh, she's only in the running in her own mind, not in anybody elses.

She did the nobel thing for George which shows just how much she loves him. That was really wonderful.
That's not how I read her action; I read it as a desperate attempt to keep him near her. The music playing in the background had lyrics along the lines of, "just to have a little piece of you."

I think her claim of "no feelings" was anything but selfless...

Me, too. Totally desperate and transparent.

while i do think she was motivated in part to keep him near, i don't think that's all of it. while izzie is a little high strung and has some impulse control issues, i think she really does love george and want what's best for him. i think a big part of her really wants him to stay at SGH because that's good for him. i actually really felt for her and for george. his reaction read to me as hurt, disappointed, confused.

i do think it's odd that she's just now starting to think she's IN love with him and not just ridiculously co-dependent.

Thank you so much!!! I couldn't figure out what show she was from, it plagued me the whole episode. Isn't the creator of this program the same one who created Joan of Arcadia? I loved that show, so sad to see it go. (very off topic--I liked Wonderfalls, too...did anybody see that? I still get the theme song stuck in my head every now and again.) Oh, and I just watched a movie that Adam (Joan of Arcadia's sort of boyfriend) was in & thanks to this thread now I know where I know him from...I just figured it out! (The movie I saw him in was that Justin Timberlake movie, Alpha Dog, btw)

There is Chief of Surgery--that's the job being vacated by Richard Weber, which Derek, Burke, Sloane, Addison are all vying for.

Then there is Chief Resident--the head resident. Callie, Bailey, and Sidney (the obnoxiously chipper one who sometimes pops up) are all residents who are possible candidates for that position. That person will be in charge of the attendings, and somewhat in charge of all the other residents.

Whoops, didn't read through--someone already cleared that up! Ignore!

Eh, I disagree - they showed her earlier listening in as Bailey was telling George that he was making a huge mistake for his career. I think that really got to Lizzy and she didn't want him to sabatoge his career over his feelings for her. And yes of course part of her wanted him there near her - I don't think she's suddenly a Saint!!! But I also think it must have killed her to pretend she didn't care for him at all, to say that their night together meant nothing - hence the reason she was crying afterwards, and I think that was selfless.

I read it as a selfless act as well. She did it right aftr the surgery on the rock climber when Sloan was talking about the need for a clean break and that the amputation would be the better way to go. Yes, she wants him near her but she realized that she needs this to be about what is best for George not her.
That was what I saw kewb and HK. What an analogy though! A person's hands = George to Izzie? I mean, having a clean break still means you're living without your hands! And obviously for a surgeon that must be a profound analogy that she picked up on.

wah, I miss Joan.

I'm really tired of the high school aspect of this show. The whole "you can't leave - you're George" stuff is really lame, to me.

The Jane Doe storyline is good, though, and I hope that stays interesting.

I think my favorite part was when Addison said something about not stripping, and the Mcs both said they'd seen it before, and Burke had this goofy expression and said "I haven't" lol
