Anyone using acupuncture? - Page 2

aran, that is wonderful! i have an appointment tomorrow and i am going to ask her to do the m/s points because i am pretty close to nonfunctional these days too.

glamazon, that is great! i hope the m/s stays away for you.

i have to tell you guys, the coolest thing happened at my appointment on wednesday. she was putting the needles in and we were chatting and all the sudden she interupts me and says, "i'm sorry but i just have to tell you this. my teachers told me about this but i have never felt it before. i feel a double pulse!" and then she started crying. i totally love her. it was the coolest thing and made me soooo happy. she said it isn't really the baby's pulse but something like my pulse splitting or something : i don't know but i took it as a good sign.

I used acupuncture for 6 weeks and then found out I was pregnant. I really credit my treatments for helping us conceive, and I am definitely sticking with it for at least several more weeks. I feel like my treatments support me both mentally and physically. My acu just uses 3 little points in my hands that can be done TTC and pregnant. I also get support for my thyroid (I'm sub-clinical hypothyroid).
I want to start acupuncture soon. I have to shop around. I have had one miscarriage and although I am confidant about this preg, I'd like acupuncture to prevent another m/c and for general health reasons
Speaking of vigorous sex...I am a midwifery apprentice and we had one lady who called and was bleeding pretty heavily after vigorous sex. She is RH negative and after the baby was born, we found out she had antibodies due to the bleeding episode caused by "vigorous sex". Pretty crazy.
