Those ancient craft books are now in vogue!

I was scrounging thru the used books in the library sale room yesterday and I came across a craft book from the 70s that had the greatest stuff in it: batik, tye dye, patchy stuff, soap making, string art and tons more stuff. And it was only $1
Who would have thought these old books would now be popular again-and I bet I'd pay $20 for the same thing at the book store with just updated pics!
I also got a revised ed of the Tightwad Gazette for .75!
And to top it off I got a bunch of scrap pieces (almost a yard each)of fabric for little aprons, bean bags, etc at Wal-mart for .50 each
My lucky day I guess.

I have to thank LaLa for getting me into this craft mode! She's really gotten me thinking and sewing up a storm!

oh,yeah!!!!!!!!!

I LOVE the vintage craft books! I've found some of the coolest crochet ideas, I just got a Sunset book "How to make soft dolls & toys" yesterday at the thrift shop. I'll be using different fabrics than they did - but awesome ideas!

Have fun with all your "new" books!
