Okay, I don't even know if I want to post a birth story. It really has been one rough experience...
Anyhoo, she was born at home in the water at 1:42 a.m. on Saturday the 16th. She weighed 7 lbs. 8 oz. and was 20.5 inches long.
We had trouble nursing the first two days because she couldn't nurse right after the birth. I tore so badly that the midwives had to stitch me up right away
So we are now catching up
Man oh man...I am a milk machine over here! I can't stop it from coming out!!
I tore very badly, in 4 places. I haven't been able to walk and sitting is horrific enough. Nursing is very challenging because of it. Yesterday my temp got up to 101.7, so we discovered I have a bad infection in one of the tears. So I am using a topical antibiotic and some numbing foam which doesn't do a thing...
I still haven't been able to change her diaper myself because I can't walk to her room. Thank goodness for my mother and dh. They have been doing everything. It's so hard and emotionally challenging not being able to care for my baby. I've had some major meltdowns.
So anyway, I may or may not post a birth story. It's been a rough 5 days and we still have a long way to go.
Here is our little cutie pie!!
