I think I've started... update in post #17

Not really sure if it's a REALLY good false alarm or if it's REAL labor... but I've had prodromal labor going now for about 3 weeks, so I'm REALLY hoping it's REAL because I'm just soooo tired of the feeling of, "Is THIS it?"

If the babe comes, it'll be two weeks prior to my expected date, but I'm happy because it'll be term and my midwife said it felt around 7 pounds a couple weeks ago! yikes!

Hopefully I'll write next with details of labor, delivery, and baby!

Woohoo!!!

I hope it's the real thing, mama! That prodromal labour is so frustrating, isn't it? I've been having my fair share over the last few weeks, too.

Good luck!

Can't wait to hear!!!! sounds like you'll have a sweet, rolly baby!! I wouldn't worry about size, bigger babies tend to do really well!!

Thank you ALL for the support and well wishes! I REALLY appreciate it!!!

Unfortunately, it WAS a false alarm. Man it was a doozy... probably more of a false START, than false alarm.

Had good light rushed for about 7 hours yesterday. I felt this TREMENDOUS wave of fatigue hit and fell asleep REALLY fast (which is TOTALLY uncharacteristic for me) and woke up to only 2-3 contrax per hour. I've had THAT going for about 3 weeks, so I was afraid it was pausing and I was right. No more significant labor since...

My midwife did an internal (we had an appointment for yesterday scheduled) and asked if I would like an internal exam and I did. Thankfully... because she was able to feel that the baby's head was tilted in this sort of odd way which usually causes very long and painful labors. So, I did a polar bear position for an hour in hopes that when I stood up the baby would reposition in a better way. Don't know if s/he has, but I'm hopeful.

I'll definitely write more when I have more to write!

I hope your sweet baby snuggles into a better position soon so that your labor will be a great one.

Do you do chiropractic? I wonder if the babes head is that way because of the way your pelvic bone is aligned at the moment. I had something like that similar when pregnant with Kai. It was because as i dilated, relaxin hormone kicking in etc as the ligaments along the bone stretched they stretched one side higher then the other...

I love having my pubic bone adjusted it makes the burning feeling go away quick

I had the same thing happen a week ago, Tori. It's frustrating, isn't it? It really does feel like the real thing. But every contraction has a purpose, right? They all help us get closer to the big day and hopefully have easier deliveries at that point (Oh, do I ever hope so!)

I hope your baby arrives very soon!
