Help! i haven't even started work yet and already i want to quit!

i have to start back to work on monday and i'm sooooo dreading it!!! i have been lucky enough to be off for the past 4 months during our move from up north. but funds have run very low and i have to return. it's only 3 days a week, but still.... my hubby cant work overtime for 1 year, so anyone have any ideas for making some extra money from home? any suggestions would be great! anyone sell discovery toys? has anyone had any experience with watching other kids in your home? what are the pros and cons? and what are the going rates? thanks!

I sold Discovery Toys for a long time. I made good money, too. Once you get rolling it seems like it doesn't stop. I think you can even do your own web page now which would be cool.

I also did in home day care. I liked that too. The pros are staying home with your child/children the cons (for me) were the fact that our van was too small to go anywhere! That drove me nuts! Other then that it was a good experience and I would do it again!

ekblad7 - do i have to have a million friends to do well with discovery toys? do you have shows at your house like pampered chef? or just catalog parties? could i realistically net $500/mo? if so, how many shows a month would be needed to make approx $500/mo. why aren't you doing it anymore? thans for the info!

I didn't have a bunch of friends do shows. I just told a few people and it went from there. You can do shows at people's houses and/or do catalog shows. Also, lots of churches and such have home party extravaganzas and you could set up a table there. Homeschooling conferences are another good place to set up. You could definately bring in $500/month after you got rolling. Christmastime (Sept. thru early Dec.) was really busy! I stopped doing it when I got pg with number 4 and was really sick. I thought I'd go back but things just got so hectic. I may go back someday! Good luck!
