Brewer's Yeast allergy-- tell me about this

My 2yo just tested positive for this today. Like the positive shrimp allergy, I'm wondering how she ever developed this in the first place. So, if she has a brewer's yeast allergy does that just mean beer, or does that translate to breads and things too? What else is brewers yeast used in? Thanks!

I think in the test, they use Brewer's yeast, but it translates to a yeast allergy, so all yeast is out. I think, but I'm not absolutely sure. You should call the allergist and ask.
