was the waiter commenting about him wanting the job, his comment was about Rick & Lynette?

What he was saying was he wanted the assistant manager's position, but he didn't think he'd get it unless he flirted with Lynette.

I thought tonight's episode was good (I'm easy to please, lol.)

I liked the Lynette came to her senses, even though she spent the night cuddled with Rick. (One thing that got me though is people don't freeze to death at 42 degrees, ugh!) I'm torn about her lying that Rick gave notice, Tom thinks he won because of his lunch with Rick, but if Lynette had told him the truth something would have happened.

I felt bad for poor Travers, being used as Edie's collateral to make Carlos stick around. At least his dad let him keep Fenway, even though he's allergic to him. I loved the scene where Carlos told Edie he'd be there for her. So very powerful!

OMG about Victor, what a dick! I think that Gabby was a little drunk with power, but HE is the one that called attention to her jumping on him on election night, so if he was embarrassed he has only himself to blame! Do you think he sent those thugs to beat up that meter erm, whatever (meter butler? lol)

I wanted to cheer when the guide told Susan she was a drama queen, that once the dust settles with Mike she's going to kick some more dust up. (Looks like it too with the previews of Susan and Gabby getting married the same day!)

I have to admit my heart fluttered when Mike picked up Susan and kissed her and then I looked at my dh and said "Man, her breath must be soimething awful right about now." I mean really, she has been up on a mountain all night with no toothbrush.

The girl had a face mask with her up on the mountain, so she probably also had some mouth wash and gum and breath mints?

I think Victor had the guys sent to beat up the guy since he bruised Gabby's wrist when he grabbed her arm.

Tom's speech to Rick about the fact that their marriage will heal even if something were to happen was some of the best writing I've seen anywhere. My dh and I both agreed that it was outstanding. Way to go, Tom!

I missed the speech... Can anyone recap?
Lemme try, but this is a lame version of a very well-written paragraph. "If you sleep with my wife, it will leave a wound so deep it will take years to heal. But believe me when I say, if that happens, I will love my wife so hard that it will overcome any damage you could possibly do and our marriage WILL HEAL."

Then he said something like, "Now. Do you still want to continue with this?" And Rick just sat there, stunned into silence (and I assume shame).

hahahahaha when Mike kissed Susan I said to DH "It really skeeves me out when people kiss people with morning breath"

I dont let DH or even the kids kiss me on the mouth till I brush my teeth. LOL

Tom's speech was awesome. I really hope they get through this and their marraige is stronger for it.

Last night was selfish vs. unselfish to me:

Selfish:
1) Gabby thinking she was above getting tickets. Did it occur to her that a fire truck might need to park next to the hydrant to save someone's life?
2) Maybe Edie really did want to spend more time with her son, but I felt like she was using him as a pawn to get Carlos
3) Susan leaving the camp site and leaving the tent for her guide to carry back for her. Not only is that rude, but didn't she realize if she got lost, they would have to send people out to find her, at possible risk to their lives?

Unselfish:
1) What Tom told Rick when he took him out to lunch. Showed how devoted he was to his wife, his faith in their marriage brought tears to my eyes
2) Carlos telling Edie he was there for her no matter what

?: Did Rick get fired on purpose cuz he really cares for Lynette and decided to do "the right thing"? I couldn't tell....
i thought rick got fired cuz lynette realized how close the line was getting that she didn't want to take any chances. i thought tom's speech was great too - if they could only share their passion with *each* other then i think things would be so much better.

i was disappointed that gabby stuck around with victor. i understand him being mad about the whole parking ticket thing but the way he talked to her and treated her was emotionally abusive in my mind. i bet next season you see it coming out more.

i am glad mike and susan are together. i hope they can make it work this time around.

Would Susan know how to take a tent down? She took a honey fask mask.lol

no becuase when she fired him he hadn't done anything that would have been grounds for firing. When she fired him my first thought was "sexual harrassment lawsuit".

Were the guys who beat up the ticketing guy the same ones who robbed the restaurant?

yup. His whole demeanor changed after he saw the bruise.

Yes- Victor is trouble. I think he is going to be bad, bad, bad for Gabby. I don't always like her character, but I do not want to see her broken either.

i think though that this is going to be where carlos comes back into her life and helps her out - when gabby needs him the most carlos will be there.
I hope so, but not at the expense of Edie. She's not always a likeable character, but to some extent, her being with Carlos has given her more depth, and allowing her character to grow. I'd like to see that continue.
I just want to see Edie settle down. She's at her best cattiness when she's getting some regularly.

yeah i was thinking the same too. i'm not sure edie could change and grow tho, i don't like at all how she used her son to try and get carlos back into her life. i wouldn't date a man who played games with his kids like that, i was sorta hoping carlos would say goodbye to her over that.
