We're finally able to share the great news from the comforts of home! We arrived here just about an hour ago . . .
Maya Elizabeth G...... was born September 20th! (41+6)
9:36 am
9 lbs 2 oz, 21 1/2 inches long

Our baby was due September 7th and although we were planning a home birth attended by midwives, she obviously had other plans in store for us. I was induced on the 18th (41+4, because of low amniotic fluid on biophysical profile u/s) with cervadil and as i feared, intervention cascaded and a second induction try with cervadil on the 19th turned into a c-section. Baby's heart rate was terrible and scary durung contractions but they got her out just in the nick of time as there was only 2 tsp. of amniotic fluid and placenta was very aged. Thankfully she is perfectly healthy and mom is on the mend. We are so excited to be parents and feel truly blessed.
Will write more later!

Congratulations!

Welcome Maya (love that name)
Remember to take it easy, I've had 2 previous c-sections myself and with both had recovery complications because I didn't take it easy.
